Basically the idea of writing this song and imagine all these things came up during one of the lessons of the course Steve Vai Guitar Techniques at Berklee School of Music.

During this class we had to create some chords and classmates would think of something out of these chords, as a story or something.

One of these responses was for my chords that gave the impression of being surrounded by sharks in the ocean sinking…hehehe.

Well, this was in my head and started trying to write things related to the ocean, sharks, dolphins and so on …

The coolest thing about this is that I’m finishing the songs for my new album that deals with multiple universes among other crazy things. Where this song fits perfectly into one of “universes” I thought to compose the music.

I hope you enjoy the music as much as I liked.

Creating this music was a unique experience for me.

DN: Talk about the record. Where did you get the idea from? What is the inspiration behind this album?

WW: It was very nice working on this album. The whole concept and idea of it actually came from a number of things that I wanted to do musically, and that one way or another did not agree between themselves, but I really liked.
I always wondered what kind of music I liked, and indeed there are many types of music that I love, since Brazil’s regional music played on the guitar to a good heavy metal, ie, at the same time I like to make major soils I also like the guitar work on the harmonies of sensitive and melodic music. At the same time I wanted a record that sounded different, trying to expose all this diversity of types of music with songs really unique, and they were more “organic” as possible. With this idea in mind I started to get into a continuous process of inspiration that had never occurred to me before.
When I started to compose the songs and mix them, I began to collect all the feeling from the composition, identify it, and tried to create environments that approximate what I was feeling at the moment, going into a cycle of true inspiration in every song .
This caused the composition of numerous versions of the same song until I sores on the desired outcome, when I heard the music and had the feeling “is this!” I stopped and finished the songs.

DN: Who are the musicians that play on the record?

WW: All instruments played on this album are made by me except the drums, which were composed by me, using cycles of pre-recorded drums (drum loops), and the Last Breath music that I used a backing track of drums and bass coming from the Mr. Eric Johnson’s East West song.

DN: Who are some of the bands/musicians that influenced you?

WW: well … I have a huge list! But the top 5 names are:
Steve Vai , Joe Satriani , Eric Johnson , Megadeth and Pantera.

DN: Do you have any projects that you are currently working on right now? Any in the future? Any plans to tour?

WW: Yes! I am working on further recording four albums, which this is the first, where I intend to continue along the same lines but with different ideas and concepts. The second album is in the process of composition and if things go that are occurring in speed will be finalized soon.
I have no travel plans or presentations at the moment because I’m drawing still a work in which I am collecting the views and finding out where people who like my sound are located … Basically I want to invest in concerts and tours with a very specific focus on where people who like my music are located, but we never know right? Perhaps, this may change …

DN: Any interesting stories you would like to share with us about the recording process?

WW: Yes! In conjunction with the goals and ideas for albums and songs, I ended up having to develop a proper technique of recording, mixing that would enable me to get expected result.
The way I ended up creating gives a strong impression that there is not only one person playing, but a jam, like a full band playing!
Often I hear during the recordings some people talking with me like:
“Hey Man! Your band is Awesome!”
“Hey Man! How you put an entire band on your room to record this?” Hehehe ….really cool!
I intend to continue this work, increasingly perfecting this technique and trying to get better results!

DN: What was the most challenging aspect of creating this record?

WW: It certainly was able to unite all the ideas and inspirations come together in a different way of making recordings and having put all the different guitar techniques with different types of music working together, that is, a huge effort!

DN: Is there anyone you’d like to acknowledge for offering support creating this album?

WW: Yes! First of all I would like to thank my family for putting up a crazy guy, making recordings even more crazy, and yet continue to give support and encouragement in their ongoing work.
I would also like to thank Mr. Eric Johnson for having created a masterpiece that was the main inspiration for the composition of the second song on the album, and the excellent work conducted by Beta Monkey Music, who provided me with incredible loops of drums for the recordings.

Some years ago, i wrote an article about games in education that i think be interesting to put here for your reading.

This article is not a technical article, but i think is interesting to put here becouse each and every day we see many news telling how the games can affect the education of young people, but i dont see any of them exposing the benefits, just the bad things…

Considered enemies by many parents and educators, the games start to be used as teaching tools by many schools, universities and even MBAs. As new media have sparked resistance among the more conservative and the games would not be different, but in the meantime, thousands of children, youth and even some adults become involved in disputes that require attention, strategy and creativity.

To those who defend the games, its educational function begins even before they reach the consumer market. “The professionals who work in creating these games, they need to exercise skills and apply knowledge that gives them differential in the labor market,” said William Wolff, an expert on Computational Intelligence and CEO of Entertainment & Technology WDW.

According to Wolff, to be a creator of good games, not enough to go to college and learn to program. “It is necessary to study topics that go beyond the conventional chair of graduate programs in technology and information systems. Another challenge is finding the right tools to create a game. For a programmer to develop a game you must have an engine at your disposal. This tool is the technological basis of programming needed to develop a game or other virtual environments.
